ING Bank NV, Dubai branch joined the Netherlands Business Council in March 2018. It is a great platform to connecting formally and informally with the Dutch business community in the UAE. I have been a member of the NBC for 3 years, and it’s definitely been worth it. In fact, I got in touch with the NBC because I was looking for a job in the UAE, and thanks to their help I found a temporary project at LeasePlan Emirates, that turned into a fulltime permanent job! I am a tax advisor, and though I am based in Amsterdam, more and more of my clients live or do business in Dubai. It is therefore important for me to maintain my network in Dubai, so I can connect clients to trusted partners locally. The NBC UAE provides this network and hosts interesting events where I can meet other members of the Dutch/Dubai business community.
